Tensions will rise at the island as the adventurers battle hunger, discomfort, lack of sleep, wild animals and conflicting personalities.
The group donation has three main purposes:
|
to cover costs incurred by everyone at the challenge, |
|
to support a worthwhile charity, and |
|
to build on teamwork. |
How does it build teamwork?
The first person to leave the island will cut off the funds to the group the day he/she leaves, and the remaining days' money will go to the charity instead. In other words, if the charity and the group where both getting 50% and then one person leaves on day 15, then the group keeps 25% and the charity 75%. This means that those struggling will be encouraged the most in order to last as long as possible.

CHARITY FOR GROUP DONATION
Our 10 adventurers will experience what it is like not to have a home, and will inevitably leave the challenge with a new appreciation for the comforts of safe and warm shelter. But there are people less fortunate in the world who still do not know what this is like and Life 2 The Limit hopes to make a difference in their lives. By donating to the group, half the money will be given to Habitat For Humanity South Africa, a community development organisation in the greater Cape Town, Durban and Joburg areas which helps build homes for those that need it most. Habitat's vision is "A world in which every person has a decent place to live" and their projects get families involved in building their own homes, giving them not only shelter but also a huge sense of pride and fulfilment. Created in 1996, HFHSA has built homes for over 2200 families - and today, you can help them build many more!
